Stepping Stones is a warm, friendly and inclusive group that offers a very wide range of services to all our children. We are an inclusive nursery which has recently been awarded a 'good' ofsted report with 'outstanding' areas. We are an Opportunity Group and offer a Holiday Club, a Saturday Club and Stay and Play sessions too!

The Stowmarket and Area Opportunity Group began in 1988 in a small porta cabin as a self help group for parents. In 1992 we were awarded lottery funding for a fantastic purpose built building. We have been a registered charity since 1988 supporting children with additional needs and their families.

At our weekly Opportunity Group we offer our families short respite care in a supportive understanding environment with safe stimulating play sessions for children. Here our families get the chance to be with other children and families who may be going though the same situations as themselves. Since we began we have grown to also include a sessional nursery, holiday club, Saturday club and play sessions for children under 9 years old.

The staff here still share the same vision as those who began the work; concern for the whole family and the absolute value of every child whatever their ability.
